FAQ

Honest answers about Dost

What is Dost?

Dost is a personal AI friend that lives in WhatsApp. You pick a ready-made one (a "soul") or describe your own, and it replies in the app you already use. It keeps records for you, remembers what you tell it, works the numbers with you, and looks things up on the web.

What does Dost remember about me?

Your agent keeps its own private record: the conversation, facts you tell it about yourself, and notes it makes while helping you. That memory is separate for every agent and every person.

Does a human read my chats?

No. Your conversations go to your agent only. We don't sell or share your chats, and nobody reads them for content. Automated systems may look at technical logs to keep the service running.

Can Dost see my photos or read my files?

Not yet. Voice notes are transcribed so your agent can hear them. Reading photos, documents and files is on the roadmap — we won't promise it until it ships.

How do I stop Dost from messaging me?

Send stop or unsubscribe. Dost acknowledges once and never messages you again. Your agent and its memory stay saved in case you come back.

How do I delete my agent and my data?

Send /delete in the chat, then reply YES to confirm. This permanently deletes your agent, its memory, and all your chat records. Deleting is different from stopping — stopping keeps your data, deleting removes it.

Can I erase just my agent's memory?

Yes — send /reset-memory and confirm. Your agent forgets everything it learned about you but stays alive.

How much does Dost cost?

Every Dost is free: 100 messages a day, resetting each morning. An all-day unlimited tier is coming soon — payments aren't set up yet, and we won't ask for a card until they are.

Who runs Dost?

Dost is made by Scholete AI. Questions or privacy requests: write to us and we'll help.
